Buy organic! Leaves and berries contain the highest levels of toxic chemicals (pesticides) and if you can't afford to buy everything organic, at least make sure to buy organic berries and leaves (kale, spinach, greens, etc.).

  4. Onions

  5. Papaya

  6. Sweet peas (frozen)

  7. Asparagus

  8. Honeydew melon

  9. Kiwi

  10. Cabbage

  11. Mushrooms

  12. Mangos

  13. Sweet potatoes

  14. Watermelon

  15. Carrots

Dirty Dozen

As of 2023 the following produce should be

purchased organic:

  1. Strawberries

    1. Spinach

    2. Kale, collard, & mustard greens

    3. Peaches

    4. Pears

    5. Nectarines

    6. Apples

    7. Grapes

    8. Bell & hot peppers

    9. Cherries

    10. Blueberries

    11. Green beans
